Classic Video Game Music - Super Mario Brothers
The Super Mario Brothers Theme is possibly one of the most powerful and familiar of all video game music. I’m sure everyone has heard it in numerous ways but I recently found this extremely creative recreation of the Super Mario Brothers Overworld Theme. Guitars and computers are well and good but using Tesla Coils is insane in my opinion. Steve Ward and Jeff Larson made unique recreation of the music but it wouldn’t have been possible if it was not for Nikola Tesla and Koji Kondo.
Nikolay Alexeyevich Nekrasov wrote a poem that inspired the creation of the Russian Folk Song ‘Korobeiniki’ which is probably most popularly known as the Tetris Theme song. There is a Geek Group chapter in Austin, TX that made their Tesla Coils play Korobeiniki.
