Anyway, the bill says early on it is looking after the moral welfare of children. Why should government enforce morals upon its citizens? Is that not a sign that we are under totalitarian rule? Maybe that is pushing it but it certainly isn’t much of a stretch to claim that is the direction politicians such as Duncan Hunter wishes the lead the country. Will you let us live our lives the way we want to without government making choices about what is or is not moral.
Oh, forgot to mention that Parents are already empowered with the privileges to parent their children. Imagine that… Parents can tell their children what is right or wrong…. What more is needed. There is a rating on the box, a description of the game on the back of the box and you usually have to present an ID when purchasing a M rated game? The ESRB pretty much has a better regulation system than any other form of art/entertainment.

When will our government stop worshiping children? It seems really unhealthy to a free society.

[EDIT] If you haven’t read this bill then don’t worry because it is obviously going to fail. But to know that a politician currently serving thinks that this is a good idea is disgusting. Read this short segment of the bill.

“(1) The term `entertainment product’ means a picture, photograph, image, graphic image file, drawing, video game, motion picture film, or similar visual representation or image, book, pamphlet, magazine, printed matter, or sound recording.”

Wow, so this just about covers everything.
